Sorry, I'm not here to bring you Part II of my Bonnaroo recap (although I promise that will be up by the end of the week!). No, I'm here to tell all you local readers to come check me out in an honest-to-badass gig. That's right, you can come rock out to me tearing up the skins in... uh... a community theater musical?
Yes, I've volunteered to play trap set in the orchestra for Liberty Showcase Theatre's summer production of Seussical. Shows have already begun, but it's not too late to catch one on Fridays (7/25, 8/1) and Saturdays (7/26, 8/2) at 8pm, and a Sunday matinee (7/27) at 3pm. Tickets are $16 for adults and $13 for seniors and children under 12.
This is all the fault of my good friend Sig, a veteran of LST and a hell of a trumpeter.
